My “woven” porcelain boxes are autobiographical, reflecting my ongoing life as a ceramist, wife, mother, and grandmother. All of my work is influenced by textiles, their iconography and symbols, as a result of my MFA thesis research. The boxes are constructed using a complex warp and weft of coloured porcelain slip.
