I make tableware using geometrical elements such as dots, lines, and planes. Seen from a distance, the vessels seem to be simple, minimalist tableware, but looking closely, the lines crossing vertically reveal elegant silhouettes coming from variations in thickness of glaze. My work shows understated beauty of the East using slip casting technique of the West and is influenced by modernist architecture. I intend to expand my vessels into a variety of forms.
